#20-Beyond the Mind’s Eye-Discovering Extrospection
In this episode, I delve deeper into my recent life transition from Los Angeles to the German Alps and how to deal with anxiety and finding inner peace. I discovered the power of extrospection, which has been a game-changer.
The serene beauty of the Alps, from the majestic mountains to the tranquil sounds of nature, has been instrumental in pulling me out of my head and into the moment. This experience has led me to reflect on the balance between introspection and extrospection. While self-examination is crucial, I’ve learned that overdoing it can be detrimental.
It is about shifting focus from internal worries to the external, illustrating how our attention pivots based on what we deem important. I’ve also found that deliberately focusing on our senses, especially hearing, can ground us in the present and make our surroundings come alive.
I share some personal experiences that reinforce the idea that overthinking can hold us back from meaningful experiences.
This episode encourages you to try to embrace the present, to listen and observe the world around you, because it’s liberating and empowering. It’s all about learning to live more fully, free from the constraints of our overthinking minds.
